The CCA has been in touch today to ask us to postpone Carol McKay’s workshop by a week. ‘Losing the Plot’ will now take place on Thursday, 27 May. Revised details below.
Our Swiss event on 10 June will go ahead on that date – as planned.
Apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment – and grateful thanks to Carol for being so flexible.
Losing the Plot?
A Fiction Writing Workshop
Thursday 27 May 2010, 7-8.30pm
CCA, Sauchiehall St, Glasgow
A fiction-writing workshop with Carol McKay. Through practical exercises and a second look at some old familiar stories, we’ll investigate the mechanics and the relevance of plot. How do you build a gripping plot? Does a story need one? Is plot a dirty word in quality fiction?
Carol McKay’s stories have appeared in Gutter, Chapman, Mslexia magazines, and others. Her work has been anthologised by Freight, Luath and Polygon. Carol teaches Creative Writing at The Open University.
